For more than half a century, Britain-born Angela Speering has had a flourishing love affair with Australian native plants – and for her it was love at first sight.

Angela has shared that love as a long-time volunteer at the nursery of the Australian Plants Society’s Newcastle group.

At the society’s nursery at Hunter Wetlands Centre, Angela takes the ABC’s Scott Bevan on a tour around the plethora of plants.
