40th Anniversary Members Photographic Competition

Do you have a favourite photograph that you have taken at the Hunter Wetlands Centre? It could be one taken recently, or in the past. Bring it along to the Hunter Wetlands Centre for display during our 40th Anniversary Celebrations in September. Visitors will be invited to vote for their favourite photos.

Your photo could be selected to be published in our 2025 Hunter Wetlands Centre fund-raising calendar!

How To Participate:

• Print your favourite photograph A4 size. You must have a digital copy available in case it is selected for calendar publishing.
• Mount your photograph on A3 black cardboard or picture mounting. Use a firm, black medium.
• Label your photograph and attach the Entry From on the back of your mount.
• Deliver your photograph to the Reception Desk at HWCA between 1st September - 13th September.
• You may submit up to 2 photographs but an Entry Form must accompany each entry.
• Entry is open to HWCA Members only (you can sign up with entry)

Photograph

• Colour or Black & White.
• Landscape format to be appropriate for the calendar.
• Must have been taken on site at the Hunter Wetlands Centre
• Can be of any subject e.g. fauna, flora, landscapes, activities etc. NOTE: If people are in the photograph permission is needed for exhibiting and publication (see Entry Form).

Exhibition & Selection

• Photographs will be exhibited in the Melaleuca Conference Room at the Hunter Wetlands Centre, Shortland.
• Voting slips will be provided to all Visitors and Members.
• A voting box will be placed at the Reception desk.
• The 12 photographs that will chosen for the 2025 HWCA Calendar will be selected by HWCA Management from the photographs with the highest number of votes.
• Photographs chosen for publication in the 2025 HWCA Calendar will be announced on Wednesday 25th September 2024.

For the sake of fairness we are currently limiting entries to two photographs per person
