Breakfast with the Birds - Every Sunday
$30 includes full breakfast and guided walking tour
(group bookings available at other times by prior arrangement)
When you book in for a delicious breakfast at Spoonbill Cafe, it will include entry and a guided birdlife tour of the wetlands.
Starting at 8 am for a stroll and feeding of the birds return to enjoy your breakfast with a unique view of the Wetlands.

Daily Guided Walking Tours
Guided walks take people on a journey of history and conservation, and provide a fascinating look at the Flora and Fauna of the Hunter Wetlands site; providing a rich experience and fostering a greater understanding of the importance of Wetlands. Please wear sturdy covered shoes and a hat. See Reception on arrival.

Canoeing on the A-maze-ing Ironbark Trail
1st & 3rd Sunday of the month
Paddle and explore our CanoeTrail with experienced guides. Stop off for a guided walk through the remnant coastal rainforest area, a must for our visitors, and then you may choose to return to Spoonbill Cafe for a delicious lunch.
Starting 9:30am on the following days.
Cost: $30 adults
Do creatures of the night amaze you? A slight rustle in the bushes, flapping of unseen wings and a pair of glowing eyes staring down on you?. Join our experienced guides and be amazed!
Our Spotlight Prowl event is hibernating for the winter. Please join us in the springtime when the weather warms and our furry friends are more active on site.

Segway Adventure Tours
10am, 1pm and 2.30pm - Sundays and other times by arrangement.
Explore the site on an X2 Segway - a super fun and easy off road experience. Book direct through 1300 168 636.

Tank Talk by donation
Held at 1 pm daily (subject to availability) and 12pm during the school holidays in main building. Listen to a talk about our delightful reptiles that call the Hunter Wetlands home. It is a chance to meet our residents up close.
Magpie Geese &Pond Bird Feeding
While visiting us see the birds residing here being fed at 10.30am & 2.30 pm daily at the BHP pond.
