 Welcome to the

Holiday Closure
The Hunter Wetlands Centre will be closed Monday 8th June 2015

Storm Damage at Hunter Wetlands

The Hunter Wetlands Centre has reopened after the storms of 20-22 April but access to the site is limited. The paths around the BHP and Brambles Ponds have been cleared and are open to visitors. Canoes will not be available for two weeks.

Spoonbill Cafe is open

Staff and volunteers are working to repair damage across the site but it will likely to take at least one week to remove trees from roads. The carpark has been cleared but there are dozens of trees down across the site, many of them planted by our volunteers, which is heartbreaking. Some of the tracks are flooded or washed away. Here’s a link to some images  posted to our Facebook site on Wednesday
