Welcome to the Hunter Wetlands Centre, a great place to reconnect with nature. Hire canoes, ride a Segway, enjoy a guided walking tour, explore our Bush Tucker Garden or bring your bikes. We are open 7 days 9am - 4pm. 

Spoonbill Cafe Now Open!  Now you can dine in the magic of the Wetlands at night...

The new Spoonbill Cafe is now open under the expertise of accomplished execitve chef Peter Halse.  Peter has over 30 years experience and has honed his craft in a wide variety of highly regarded establishments including The Sheraton Port Douglas, Reef Casino, The Apollo International Hotel, the London International Hotel and most notably for locals, Monets cafe in Newcastle where he established a very good reputation for the restuarant over an 11 year period.

Spoonbill Cafe serves delicious food with welcoming hospitality from 9am till 3pm daily - all with a beautifully unique view.  

We are very excited  to announce Spoonbill Cafe is now open every Friday evening for dinner! 

All profits from the cafe will go to the Hunter Wetlands Centre.

The Hunter Wetlands Centre is a self-funded community organisation with full charity status. We rely on the generosity and great variety of skills volunteers can offer to keep our centre running. If you are interested in volunteering at the Hunter Wetlands Centre you can contact us to answer your enquiries via email volunteering@wetlands.org.au We are always keen to welcome new volunteers and run regular Volunteer Inductions which you can book in with us on (02) 4951 6466
